Dear colleague,

I wanted to update you on our mutual patient.

They were seen today for their yearly dilated exam.  Fortunately, they showed no signs of diabetic eye disease.  I reiterated the importance of tight glucose control in preventing future diabetic eye disease.  

We will see them back in one year for repeat dilated exam, sooner as needed.
