Dear colleague,

I wanted to update you on our mutual patient.

They were seen today for their follow up eye examination.  Their proliferative diabetic retinopathy appears stable from their previous visit and currently does not require any intervention.  I reiterated the importance of tight glucose control in preventing the worsening of their diabetic eye disease.  

We will see them back in 3-9 months for repeat dilated exam, sooner as needed.
