Ophthalmologist
Dr. Gintien Huang (San Bernardino Eye Specialists) was born and raised in Southern California. He is a board certified ophthalmologist who studied medicine at the St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri and went on to train at America's oldest specialty hospital, the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary where he served as chief resident. He further sub-specialized in medical and surgical glaucoma after completing a fellowship at the prestigious Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, Florida.
Optometrists
Dr. Sumin Mark Huang (Mark Huang Vision Center) has proudly served the San Bernardino community for over 40 years. He is an optometrist who received his Ph.D in biochemistry at the University of Tennessee in Oakridge, Tennessee. He went on to study optometry at the New England School of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Samantha Makpaiboonvatana joined San Bernardino Eye Specialists on July of 2018. She completed her bachelors in chemistry with a minor in biology from the University of California, Irvine. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry (Marshall B. Ketchum University). She is a therapeutic and glaucoma certified optometrist. Her interests include ocular diseases and specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Patricia Liang joined San Bernardino Eye Specialists at our Fontana location on April of 2022. She completed her bachelors of science from the University of California, Irvine. She then went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Western University of Health Sciences. She is a therapeutic and glaucoma certified optometrist and her interests include post-operative care of the anterior segment. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering, traveling, and video games.
Dr. Jessica Hu joined San Bernardino Eye Specialists on August of 2023. She completed her bachelors of science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She then went on to ear her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of California, Berkeley at the Herbert Wertheim School of Optometry and Vision Sciences. She completed an optometry residency at the Veteran's Affair Southern Oregon Rehabilitation Center in primary care and ocular diseases. She is a therapeutic and glaucoma certified optometrist and her interests include post-operative care and ocular diseases.
